Iran Parliament Seeking Withdrawal from Additional Protocol

TEHRAN ( Iran News ) – The Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission has tabled a motion to suspend voluntary implementation that Iran pursued towards the Additional Protocol of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), a lawmaker said. Speaking to Tasnim on Saturday, vice chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Abbas Moqtadaee said the motion, prepared as an urgent proposal, would oblige the government to cease the voluntary implementation of the Additional Protocol.
